My breakfast: I'm turning into my grandfather! |

We walked through a lovely park, past a beautiful church, and raced each other to the next big tree.
We walked to the Sydney Aquarium. Our favourites included the razor fish (which hang upside down in the water - weird!), the jellyfish (which were iridescent in the changing light - very beautiful), the blue lobster (looked unreal), the cuttlefish (like from a sci-fi movie), the rays (incredible swimming over our heads), and the dugongs (who had their own bar that served lettuce, lettuce and lettuce. They are served food every 15 minutes by staff who work 24 hours a day). There was a lot to see.
We even got to touch more creatures and learned about squid eggs. Neat!
There was a boat ride to see the penguins in the cold. You floated in a boat along this waterway and watched the penguins. You could also poke your head up inside the penguin area to get really up close and personal. I got a penguin kiss. Through the glass of course!
We had ice-cream on the way back to the hotel. Then it was off to Canberra!

So glad you got to the Sydney Aquarium -- that was a real hit when our kids were little and the sharks swam overhead! Lukas at age 5 talked about that for years -- literally! We've missed your updates and were delighted to see that you've gotten caught up! Keep enjoying one of our all-time favourite places on earth! Sending hugs, Nancy & David :)
